When: A self-led three-month course from 30 October 2023 to 30 January 2024. Who: Young people with a vision impairment aged 18-29 who are not in education, employment or training and looking to enter the workplace. Location: A five-day residential at the Royal National College for the Blind, Hereford from 30 October to 4 November followed by self-study at home. Cost: Free. Equipment: Use of own laptop and accessible software.

Join us on a fully funded self-led employability programme that specifically addresses the challenges faced by young adults with a vision impairment. Funded by Thomas Pocklington Trust, this supportive and flexible three-month programme developed in partnership with MACS and the Royal National College for the Blind (RNC) will help you navigate the world of work through a blend of in-person small group coaching and accessible online learning. Working at your own pace, you will develop a wealth of practical skills to help you take the right steps towards achieving success in the workplace. We will first come together on a five-day residential to explore how you can apply your interests and strengths to make a lasting impact. You will receive ongoing remote support over the following three months from our team of VI experienced professionals, who will get you one step closer to your dream job.
