European Blind Football on its way to Hereford
We are delighted to announce that the UK round of the newly formed European Blind Football League (EBFL) is being held at the Royal National College for the Blind's leisure facility, thePoint4. With teams affiliated to some of the big names in Europe, it's your chance to come and view this thrilling game during a festival of blind football. All games will be streamed live so there are some great opportunities for sponsorship and advertising to a European audience.

Building on recent successes in the
FA Disability Cup
, the College team, with the Football Association’s backing, is the only English club taking part in this League competition and will face five other European clubs – Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Cécifoot Charleroi (Belgium), ASDD Roma 2000 (Italy), Sanremo Liguria (Italy), and the Romanian National Team.
CJP Broadcast Service Solutions Ltd
has been selected to provide multi-camera coverage of the tournament, which will be streamed live with commentary via the College's
YouTube
channel. It will be a full day of live European Blind Football within a 6 game fixture list starting at 9.30 on the 8 April 2023.
The tournament will be presented by the hugely talented
David
Wooldridge
who will hold post match interviews with players and managers, and offer insights to the game for those who are new to the sport.
The event will also include stream sponsorship and advertising opportunities to companies who want to be part of the story and promote their brand within the event coverage. The day's main sponsor has already been secured and we thank
Cube International
for their support and interest in helping us to raise the profile of blind sports.
The tournament itself is providing a platform to share good practice and fair play as well as opportunities for player development. Ultimately, the goal is to grow the sport of Blind Football by getting more people involved in this fast paced and skilful game.
The College is home to the only Sports Academy for blind and visually impaired young people in Europe, so all sponsorship and advertising revenue will go directly to the College for the ongoing development of blind sport.
Chris Phillips from CJP Broadcast Service Solutions Ltd, said:
'We anticipate this event will be a showcase for Blind Football world wide and we are very much looking forward to playing our part in supporting it with our live production services. A massive thank you to Cube International for sponsoring the event.'
[Please note, as a College with students under the age of 18, we are unable to offer advertising to companies associated with alcohol, cigarettes, vaping or betting.]
