International Guide Dog Day, celebrated annually on the last Wednesday of April, commemorates the founding of the International Federation of Guide Dog Associations on 26 April 1989.

This special day honours the invaluable work of guide dogs worldwide and highlights the vital role they play in empowering people with visual impairment to live independently.
