Students soar to new heights

Saturday 24 June marked an unforgettable day for 12 RNC students, as they were treated to an extraordinary experience - a helicopter ride. This wonderful opportunity was made possible by Tiger Helicopters, a local company based in Shobdon.
The pilot made special arrangements to meet the students at a field in Hereford, where they were greeted with an unexpected surprise and given the chance to explore some luxury cars - an Aston Martin and a Lamborghini.

They were also enchanted by a local swan family, which had some fluffy, new additions. Here they are pictured feeding the swans and their cygnets:



The students’ excitement grew with anticipation as they could hear the helicopter approaching. Here are Shannon, Jamie and Elisha waiting for the helicopter to land:



After landing, they were invited to explore its interior while it remained stationary, posing for photos in the cockpit. Here's Zak exploring the cockpit:



It was soon time for their flights - they were divided into groups of three and, accompanied by two skilful pilots, then their flight over Hereford began. To the delight of students, the helicopter circled over RNC, allowing them to wave excitedly at their friends on the ground.

Everyone came away with huge smiles, wanting to go again! This unforgettable day will leave an indelible mark on the memory.
