Science for all: Integrating practical Biology
The College ensures inclusive and hands-on learning for its A Level Biology students. With a two to one staff/student ratio, practical lessons are delivered collaboratively by RNC staff and lab technicians from Hereford Sixth Form College's Biology Department.
This supportive environment allows students to develop essential laboratory skills and solidify the scientific knowledge gained in their RNC classes.
In a recent practical session, Izzy and Freya exemplified this approach by inoculating petri dishes with bacteria. This experiment not only investigated the impact of disinfectant concentrations but also provided valuable training in aseptic techniques, a cornerstone of laboratory work.
