Giving Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu a go!
At the end of September two RNC students, Tait and Rico, took advantage of the free training offered by the Combat Academy Hereford to try out Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ). The Academy's coaches, who have experience working with visually impaired people, guided the students through the intricacies of the sport.

BJJ, like Judo, is a sport that can be highly effective even without sight. The coaches helped them to develop their skills and the pair really enjoyed exploring the techniques and strategies of this martial art.
Thanks to the everyone at the Academy for their welcome and for sharing their knowledge, and to staff member Phil for supporting the visit.
