West Bromwich Albion dominate Match Day 3 of the National Blind Football League
West Bromwich Albion showcased their dominance in the National Blind Football League during Match Day 3 at the weekend (25 January). The team secured impressive wins, defeating both Merseyside Blind and VI FC 4-0 and RNC Hereford 6-0 at thePoint4.
This string of victories puts West Brom in a strong position at the top of the League, while RNC and Merseyside face an uphill battle to catch up.
In the second match of the day, RNC secured a draw against Merseyside, with Brandon Coleman scoring for the home side.

In a bid to give players more opportunities to hone their penalty skills, this season the FA have introduced penalty shootouts when a match ends in a draw. The draw itself still results in a point for each team, with the winners of the shootout earning an additional point.
Merseyside went on to win the penalty shootout.
In the Championship, Team 2 (RNC) had a slight edge over Team 1 (WBA), with one win and a 0-0 draw in their two matches. Prospective RNC student Toby Williams netted the winning goal for RNC in the first match.

As always it was a competitive day but also a great community event where blind footballers from all over the country get together socially and enjoy the spirit of competition.
The next set of fixtures will take place at thePoint4 on Saturday 15 February 2025.
