Former student, Louis, visited the Massage Department in May 2022 to come and refresh his skills.
I was at RNC for 2 years, starting in 2019 and leaving in 2021.

After qualifying, I started setting up to do massage but the pandemic meant I couldn’t continue at that point. So, I’m looking at doing it this year and I’m also in the process of constructing my own quad biking business.
I’m from Wolverhampton so I’m setting it up there.
I’ve always been into things like motorbikes and speed. Growing up I always wanted a Mini Moto but they were so expensive so I thought it would be good to give little kids that can’t afford to buy one outright, an opportunity to experience one. So that’s where the idea came from. Now I’m just putting it all into action.
It’s a lot of work as there is a lot of safety that goes into it. You have to ensure the vehicles are safe - parents need to know their children are safe and the environment they are in is safe. There’s a lot of planning before you get started.
I’m just waiting for confirmation of a venue but it will probably be at a community centre. I will be a mobile freelance company it just means that I can take it to different places, different events, fundraisers and fun days.
I really learnt a lot at RNC. I had sight until I was aged 20, I’m 24 now. The staff really supported me with mobility and using a cane as I’d never used one before. RNC helped build my confidence back up in everyday life and helped me get my independence back. It was really difficult to begin with but I had a great experience at College – it’s been fun.
