What does the course involve?
It covers practical, standalone numerical and measurement skills equivalent to the higher-level foundation content of a GCSE in Mathematics.
How you’ll learn
Students are taught in small groups, but are expected to work independently where appropriate. There is a mixture of practical, problem-solving and mathematical modelling tasks. A real strength of this course is the way it teaches you skills in working with tactile diagrams and charts.

100% examination
Where will it take me?
While it is an Award (a smaller standalone qualification) rather than a full GCSE, it demonstrates practical competence in basic arithmetic, measurement, and data analysis. Roles that value these skills include: retail, customer service and administration.
