By far the best way to learn more about RNC is to come and visit us! We are a campus college with halls of residence, located just a mile from Hereford city centre, located within an hour and a half of Birmingham, Bristol and Cardiff.

Join us on...

College Tours

You are welcome to join us for an informal tour of the campus, Monday to Friday during term time. We recommend that you choose a date during term time so you can experience RNC at its best; when our students and teachers are available to meet you.

We would normally ask you to arrive around 11:00 and tours are normally finished by 15:00 but we can be as flexible as you need.

During your individualised tour you will have the opportunity to ask questions and visit all areas of the College including the main learning hub, teaching areas, halls of residence, gym and sports centre, independent living skills and much, much more.

Open Days

The College holds three open days a year and prospective students along with their families and professionals working with young people, are all invited.

It's an opportunity to speak to staff and students, ask your questions and get a general feel for College life.

These informative days, usually takes place from 10:00 to 15:00, and offer the opportunity to:

discuss funding, careers and transitions
attend lesson drop-in sessions
tour the campus
be introduced to our unique programme featuring Independent Living Skills (ILS), Mobility, ICT and Braille

Have-a-Go weekends

Our have-a-go activity weekends run twice a year in February and October and provide a chance for young people with a visual impairment to get to know each other while taking part in a series of fun activities.

At these jam packed weekends we have everything from baking to bowling and business studies to blind football. If you are 13-17 with a VI then this is the weekend for you.

Your siblings are also welcome to attend along with your parents/carers. For some of you this might be your first residential experience, so while you will be on a separate programme to your parents, you will still have them on campus as a safety net.
