Set in the Old Chapel in the Cloisters, the interactive game transported the players back to medieval Hereford. The challenge centred around a group of pilgrims visiting the shrine of St Thomas Cantilupe. When a precious ring left at the shrine goes missing during morning service, the team, acting on behalf of Hereford’s Sergeant at Law, were tasked with searching the chapel to crack clues, decode messages, and solve the mystery before time ran out. The RNC team proved to be expert sleuths.
Verity Smithson, Event and Development Officer at Hereford Cathedral, praised their visit:
‘It is always such a pleasure to host students from RNC. I work with a lot of different groups in the Escape Room and wider events programme, and your students stand out as being enthusiastic, polite, and brilliant team players.’
A big thank you also goes to RNC Braille teacher Jess Wilkes, for all the hard work and effort she put into creating accessible resources for the game, which helped make the experience such a success!
