RNC is an expert provider and assessor of Braille. Staff have significant experience of both teaching Braille and developing methods of study for young people and adults with a wide range of visual impairments. RNC delivers its own unique qualifications which meet Unified English Braille standards and are approved by Pearson.
An RNC assessment of Braille is guaranteed to meet the highest standards and provide a thorough but fair evaluation of the candidate’s level of skill.
Candidates will travel to RNC for assessment at their own expense. Fully accessible overnight accommodation and catering can also be provided, with quotations on request.
Prices
The prices outlined below are for the assessment of the following courses and include assessment, verification, fees and associated admin:
- BTEC Level 1 Award in Uncontracted Braille for Touch and Sight Readers – £570
- BTEC Level 2 Certificate in Contracted Braille for Touch and Sight Readers – £640
- BTEC Level 3 Advanced Award in Applied Contracted Braille for Touch and Sight Readers – £4,241
Please note, these courses are not regulated by Ofqual or any other regulatory body, however they ARE a recognised BTEC Qualification.
Prices are valid until 31 August 2021 and apply to both sight and touch assessments.
